What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy aims to address the underlying root cause of your symptoms or health issues. Our job involves some detective work, often tracking back to find what caused the problem. Food should be nourishing, energizing and importantly – enjoyed! Sometimes striking a balance is difficult, complicated and confused by marketing messages. Reaching optimal health is encouraged through not only nutrition, but also lifestyle factors such as a stress levels, sleep quality, mindset, our environment and more. This type of practice is based on functional medicine principles, which means we look at the ‘whole person’ for a positive long term solution. Nutritional therapy can be powerful and effective in a number of scenarios. I work with a number of labs and will regularly recommend the use of functional diagnostic testing (i.e stool test, hormone profile) to investigate an underlying imbalances.

My approach
My approach blends evidence-based nutrition science with coaching, clinical and personal experience to help evoke change at a pace that feels good for you. I will provide the nutrition science, resources, homework exercises and coaching, but ultimately, you will decide what vision you would like to work towards.
The aim is for you to be able to comfortably manage food, movement and self care habits from a place of compassion and self-love.
It’s important for me to incorporate kindness and understanding so that you feel listened to and respected throughout the process. I believe you are intuitively the master of your own body, my role is simply to help you unlock that inner wisdom from a compassionate and non-judgemental stance.

As food and eating behaviours are often deeply conditioned, I understand working towards sustainable life-long change takes time. In my experience the clients who commit to working with me for a minimum of 12 weeks achieve the best results.

90 minute initial consultation. Follow ups are 45 minutes.
In depth health assessment based on a questionnaire and 3 day food diary completed prior to the initial consultation (exploring lifestyle, medical history, family history, stress, sleep & more)
Tailored nutrition and lifestyle programme aimed at achieving your desired results. The programme is bespoke to you - working around your daily routine, lifestyle, likes and dislikes. Together, we will make the necessary adjustments to your diet and lifestyle to help your body naturally fall into harmony and balance.
PDF follow up report sent to you following each session via email with the next steps required plus any supporting material to help you with those steps
